Resolving conformational changes in membrane receptors in response to a stimulus, and capturing their functionally relevant dynamics, is very challenging. The seminar presents a range of spectroscopic approaches, used to address this challenge, with Prof. Anthony Watts (a biophysicist who joined the faculty at the University of Oxford as a Professor of Biochemistry and C W Mapplethorpe Fellow, St Hugh’s College and is currently a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellow (2021 – 2024), still active in publishing and giving seminars as well as is fully engaged with biophysics at the national and international level).
