EMBO Practical Course: Integrative structural biology: solving molecular puzzles

This practical course offers a hands-on introduction to integrative structural biology. Participants will delve into the fundamentals of various experimental structure determination techniques including X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, small-angle X-ray scattering, NMR, and mass spectrometry, through both lectures and practical exercises.

Specialists in the domain will lead participants through the process of analyzing and interpreting experimental data, as well as constructing structural models spanning various resolution scales. An essential component of the program involves delving into how integrative structural biology overcomes the constraints of Artificial Intelligence-driven structure prediction techniques when modeling extensive complexes and their functional conformations. Furthermore, it will shed light on the emerging area of integrative structural biology of biomolecular complexes visualised directly within their cellular context.
