Northern Europe is home to one of the world’s most powerful life science ecosystems, combining cutting-edge research infrastructures, leading universities and clinics, dynamic start-up environments, and a strong tradition of cross-border collaboration. But how can this unique asset base be leveraged more effectively to strengthen Europe’s global competitiveness in times of rapid geopolitical and technological change?
To explore this question, The Ministry of Science (BWFG) of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Hanse-Office in Brussels invite you to a panel discussion and evening reception organised by HALRIC partners.
The panel brings together experts on science, policy, funding, and industry to explore how cross-border research can be translated faster into patient benefit, economic growth, and global impact. The discussion will examine what already works well in the region, where key bottlenecks remain, and what it will take at regional, national, and EU level to unlock the full potential of Northern Europe’s life science value chain.
